My Project: Bowie

Listening to the my project: blue EP. For some reason Chad sounds like early Bowie. And apparently Shimo and Kevin have been deemed to unphotogenic to appear in the artwork.

Nav x-mas party last night. Chairman Matt’s speech was impeccable. Ate too many lemon tarts. Afterwards Chelsea and I watched Demon Knight on the late show.

Song two also sounds like early Bowie.

My new driver’s licence arrived the other day. I need a haircut.

Song three: early Bowie. Monologue vocal intro.

Haven’t quite figured out what to get my parents for x-mas. Cinema tickets again?

Song four: the most bowie track yet. Steals the rhythm / guitar arrangement from “Rebel, Rebel” and the xylophone and synth swoop from “Space Oddity” holy cow.

The candy canes this year are chewy. I love chewy candy canes. Chelsea doesn’t like that they’re black inside.

Song five and six sound like Hunky Dory condensed into one track. Like the overture of an opera.

Ken just phoned to inform me of an Arrested Development marathon commencing shortly at his house. I joined the Malaspina Film Society last night. Though I found the selection of possible films dubious.

I suppose sounding like Bowie isn’t a bad thing at all. Just saying is all.

Let me guess…Predator was one of them? The managing ed and her obsession with crappy Arnuld films…

Ack! Oh no! I just figured the way she defended that film it would be on the list. So what was on the list?

Hey, I nominated Deadman, Midnight Cowboy, and Punishment Park. It’s not always about Predator, you know.

  6. newcleus says:

Yea but the way you defended it…
